Richard Roper, 52, of Eagle Rock, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, in his home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1957, in Joplin, the son of Stanley and Mary (Burgess) Roper. On Sept. 31, 1995, in Eagle Rock, he was united in marriage to Robin Lias, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Rikki Lynn Roper, of Kansas City; his stepchildren: Dawn Marie Beck and her husband, Kory, "Dewey", of Cassville, and Amber Rae Burdiss and her husband, "Bobby", of Cassville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Lee Roper.
He received his education in Kansas City, where he graduated from high school. He had been employed several years as chief inspector for American Consulting and Testing Gas Pipeline Company. Most of his life was spent in the Eagle Rock area.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
