James V. Coffman, 78, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in his home.

He was born June 16, 1931, in Afton, Okla., the son of Sequichie and Willia Irene (Crotzer) Coffman, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were a brother and two sisters.

He was married for 22 years and to this union two children were born.

Survivors include: his children, James "Jim" Coffman and his wife, Laverne, of Cassville, and Rhonda Magers and her husband, Dave, of Lee's Summit; and three grandchildren.

He received his education in Fairland, Okla. For 50 years, he worked as a contract sheet metal worker. In 1975, he moved to Shell Knob, remaining there until two years ago when he moved to Cassville. He was a member of the Cherokee Nation.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
