Betty J. Tucker, 78, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, in St. John's Hospital, Cassville.
She was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Exeter, the daughter of Aaron Harvey and Fannie Mae (Nafus) Lowe. On March 25, 1956, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to R.F. "Pete" Tucker, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, J.B., Loren, Herman, Hollis and Louis Lowe and one sister, Mary Elliott.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenny Tucker, of Cassville, and Carroll Tucker and his wife, Tammy, of Cassville; one daughter, Patsy Kay Pegg and her husband, Kinny, of Springdale, Ark.; two brothers, Morris "Bud" Lowe and his wife, Mary, of Cassville, and Marvin "Pard" Lowe and his wife, Lois, of Cassville; one sister, Alma Beeson, of Cassville; two sisters-in-law, Louise Leitner, of Wichita, Kan., and Shirley Lowe, of Cassville; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She received her elementary education at Oak ridge School. She graduated from Cassville High School with the class of 1951. She was a medical technician at Red Rose Inn in Cassville for several years. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Cassville, and a member of VFW Post 4205 Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Larry Henbest, Pastor Doyle Russell and Rev. Loy Bowen conducted the services. Burial was at Horner Cemetery, Cassville.
