Mary Lou Sanders, 69, of Butterfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in her home.

She was born May 19, 1940, in Hillsdale, Mich., the daughter of John Brown, Jr. and Marie (Boone) Brown. She was united in marriage to Daniel Seeley, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 28, 1979, she married Edsel F. "Ed" Sanders, Jr., who survives.

Additional survivors include: one daughter, Danette Ann Cape, of Exeter; a step-daughter, Elizabeth Ann Spencer, of Lee's Summit; three sisters, Shirley Stormzand, of Springfield, Marlene Rodgers, and her husband, Jim, of Big Rapids, Mich., and Sherry Black and her husband, Lowell, of Hillsdale, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Kay Leftridge and her husband, Bob, of Ozark; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

Others preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Michael Seeley.

She grew up and received her education in Hillsdale, Mich. In 1976, she moved to Missouri to make her home. For 16 years, she was employed at FASCO, from which she retired. She attended Wheaton Southern Baptist Church and was a member of Cassville Golf Course.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Richard Buck conducted the services. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield.
