Robert "Bob" Dale Anderson, 49, of Manhattan, Kan., died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, Kan.

He was born Jan. 24, 1961, in Manhattan, Kan., the son of Carrol and Karen (Loberg) Anderson.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing. Some of Bob's favorite things to do were to watch movies and to go bowling. He was known for playing practical jokes on his family. He was a sports fan and enjoyed Kansas State Wildcats sports of all kinds.

On Sept.14, 2002, he married Christine Base in Manhattan, Kan. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include his children: Nicole Anderson and Robert Anderson, of Janesville, Wis., Andrea Anderson and Allie Anderson, of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Karen Anderson, of Manhattan, Kan.; his brother, Cliff Anderson and his wife Julia, of Manhattan, Kan.; two nieces; two nephews; and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carrol Anderson on Nov. 7, 2005.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) February 17, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan, Kan., with Pastor Eric Norris officiating. Cremation followed the service. a private inurnment will be held at a later date.
