Ruth Juanita Palmer, 80, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, in her home.

She was born July 13, 1929, in Mineral Springs, the daughter of Irwin Wallace and Leana Isabelle (Edie) Bruce. On April 12, 1952, she was united in marriage to Dean Sullivan Andrews, who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1987. On May 20, 1995, in Butterfield, she married Harold A. Palmer, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Lucille Doble and her husband, Jonathan, of Rogers, Ark.; one son, Michael Eugene Andrews, of St. Charles; two stepsons, Millard Dean Andrews and his wife, Kathy, of Cassville, and Harry Palmer, of Eagle Rock; two stepdaughters, Linda Ball and her husband, Denny, of Eagle Rock, and Robin Kroll, of Sulphur, Ark.; three brothers, Raymond Bruce, of Greeley, Colo., Norman Bruce, of Monett, and Clarence Bruce, of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Namona Ellis, of Tulsa, Okla., Edith Hay, of Tulsa, Okla., and Ruby Walls, of Colony, Texas; seven grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; 17 step great- grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.

Others preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Paul Leon Bruce.

She received her education at Washburn, graduating from Southwest High School. She was a nurse's aide, cook and launderer at Cassville Nursing Center. From 1968 until 1971, she ran Hilltop Grocery Store. She was a member of Butterfield Southern Baptist Church, former member of the Gideon Organization and a member of Cassville Senior Center, where she also worked for 16 years.

Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. David Eaton, Sr. and Bobby Harrison conducting the services. Burial was at New Salem Cemetery, Seligman.
