Virginia Elizabeth Parker, 82, of Sikeston, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, in St. John's Hospital, Cassville.

She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Stanford L. and Geneva Alma (Drury) Stucker. She was united in marriage to Harvey Parker, Jr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Evelyn Hulls.

Survivors include: one son, Stanford Keith Parker and his wife, Linda, of Cassville; one brother, Leland Stucker, of Kansas City; four sisters, Mary Mitchel, of Sikeston, Linda Fisher, of St. Louis, Rita Miller, of Sikeston, and Betty Strickland, of Bertrand; two grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

She received her education at Cape Girardeau. Most of her life was spent in Sikeston, where she worked 30 years for Brown Shoe Factory. She was a volunteer several years for the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston and a member of Eagles.

Funeral services were held Monday, in Bethel Baptist Church, Sikeston, under direction of Blanchard Funeral Home, Sikeston. Burial was at Garden of Memories, Sikeston.

Local arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
