Bobby Pope, 64, of Exeter, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, in his home.

He was born April 14, 1945, in Okemah, Okla., the son of George Roscoe and Gladys Marie (Crow) Pope. On June 1, 1963, in Kings County Calif., he was united in marriage to Sandra Fay Kerns, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Mark Pope and his wife, Susan, of Exeter; four daughters, Rena Barnett and her husband, Duane, of Rocky Comfort, Cindy Whited and her husband, Allen, of Exeter, Debbie Ferrell and her husband, Loyd, of Bristow, Okla., and Becky McCaulley and her husband, Mike, of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Donald Pope, of Exeter; and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Yvonne McAlister and two grandchildren.

He received his education in Kings County, Calif. Most of his life was spent working as a road repairer for Kings County in California. Nine years ago, he moved from California to Exeter to make his home. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Memorial services were held Tuesday in Word & Spirit Family Outreach, Goodman. Cremation arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
