Cassville Chamber banquet attended by 150

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce's 2010 membership banquet, was held in the Cassville High School commons area on Jan. 23. The event was attended by 150 local community members.
Richard Asbill, outgoing Cassville Chamber president, opened the event by welcoming all attendees. He also took a few moments to recognize the groups and individuals who provided services for the event, including: John and Janet Sullivan and the Cassville High School FCCLA, catering; Carrie Beck, musical entertainment; Annette and Devon Henderson, hostesses; and Lenna Knight, of Accents-N-Tents, decor.
Virgil Harrington, incoming chamber president, recognized several elected officials in attendance before Rev. Jamie Smith, of Spiritual Streams Fellowship, gave the invocation for the banquet meal.
Sen. Jack Goodman served as the guest speaker for this year's event. His address featured an optimistic message about the future of the country.
"I really appreciate the opportunity to come and speak at the Cassville Chamber banquet," said Goodman.
