Mary Lou Duckworth, 82, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Wilshire at Lakewood in Lee's Summit.

She was born April 15, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Erskine and Jessie Lou (House) Yarnall. On March 28, 1945, in Rogers, Ark., she was united in marriage to Robert F. Duckworth, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1996, after 51 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers.

Surviviors include: two sons, Robert "Bob" Duckworth and his wife, Linda, of Lee's Summit, and Charles Duckworth, of Lee's Summit; one daughter, Ricky DeMoss, of Adrian; two brothers, Paul Yarnall and his wife, Jane, of Cassville, and Lonnie Yarnall and his wife, Willabee, of Cassville; one sister, Patty Buchanan and her husband, Carl, of Cassville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She moved with her family to Cassville, where she grew up on the family farm and graduated from Cassville High School. After her marriage to Robert, they moved to the Kansas City area settling in Raytown, where they lived until retiring to Cassville in 1988. While living in Raytown, she was employed as a sales clerk for JC Penney in Kansas City. She had been residing in Lee's Summit since April, 2009. She was a member of Roaring River Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jerry Yarnall conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
