Mazie L. King, 93, of Berryville, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in Carroll County Nursing and Rehab Center, Berryville, Ark.

She was born May 26, 1916, in Russell, Kan., the daughter of Charles and Sophie (Ruff) Wolf. On Feb. 29, 1936, in Russell, Kan., she was united in marriage to Donald King, who preceded her in death on July 20, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters.

Survivors include: one son, D. Jack King and his wife, Sue, of Shell Knob; one daughter, Roxan Loeppke and her husband, Glen, of Shell Knob; one brother, Charles Wolf, of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Genevieve Donnelly, of Skiatook, Okla., Betty Holms of Kissimmee, Fla., and Virginia Robinson, of McPherson, Kan.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Russell, Kan. In 1957, she moved to Wichita, Kan., where she was a bookkeeper for International Paper, retiring around 1970. In 1972, she moved from Wichita, Kan., to Shell Knob to make her home. She was a member of Central Community United Methodist Church in Shell Knob.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Central Community United Methodist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Teressa Clyde conducted the services. Burial was at McGuire Cemetery, Shell Knob.
