He was born on Jan. 13, 1925, in Verona, the son of Elijah and Ethel (Anderson) Coker. he was married to Vera Wormington on Aug. 4, 1973, in Cassville.
He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Monett and was retired from Jumping-Jacks Shoe Co.
Survivors include: his wife; one son, Norman Coker, of St. Louis; one stepson, Bruce Chandler, of Monett; one daughter, Cheryl robinson, of Texas; one stepdaughter, angela Madero, of Golden; one sister, Betty Headding, of Fresno, Calif; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett with Rev. Jimmy Copley officiating. Burial was at Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
