Carrol H. Lombard, 74, of Wheaton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in his home.

He was born June 13, 1935, in Garfield, Ark., the son of Henry C. and Ansy (Mahurin) Lombard. On Jan. 1, 1993, he was united in marriage to Sharon (Ridenour) Adams, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, James Carrol Lombard and his wife, Teresa, of Wheaton; one stepson, Michael Adams, of Ridgley; two daughters, Susan Lombard and her husband, Jeremy Weston, of Wheaton, and Kelli Adams and her husband, Rick, of Ridgley; one brother, Bob Lombard and his wife, Kay, of Wheaton; three sisters, Louise Wilkerson and her husband, John, of Wheaton, Idella Trick and her husband, Les, of La Grange, Ore., and Linda Belisle, of Neosho; thirteen grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bobby Kendall; and one sister, Betty Shockley.

He received his education in Wheaton, before moving to Warrenton, where he worked for Ford Motor Company for 20 years. After his retirement, he moved to Odem, Texas, for five years, and then back to Wheaton, in 1988. He was a member of Prosperity Southern Baptist Church of Rocky Comfort, where he was a Sunday school teacher and a trustee of the church.

Funeral services were held Monday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor George Gore conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton.
