Kevin Michael Williams, 49, formerly of Seligman, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside service was held Nov. 2 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
He was born April 3, 1960, to Opal and Hazel Williams in Monett. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a master of divinity and became an ordained Baptist minister.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he held the rank of captain and served five years during the Persian Gulf War Flying B-52 bombers. He was awarded the U.S. Air Force's Air Medal for Heroism and the Bronze Star for Valor.
He was preceded in death by is father, Opal G. Williams, and grandparents, Amos and Claire Williams and Wyatt and Belle Lawson.
Survivors include: his mother, Hazel Williams, of Cassville; his wife, Susan Kay Williams, of Fort Worth, Texas; children, Orion Williams and his wife, Jennifer, of Benton, Ark., Julie Williams, of Hawaii, Joshua Williams and his wife, Alisha, of San Antonio, Texas, Christie Casanova and her husband, Junior, of Fort Worth, Texas, Ashley Taylor and her husband, Brian, of Jackson, Tenn., Matthew Williams and his wife, Rachel, of Cordova, Tenn., and Lindsay Williams, of Germantown, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
Also surviving are: five brothers, Doyle Williams, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Darrell Williams, of Hermitage, Tenn., Pharis Williams, of Sun City West, Ariz., Knial Williams, of Seligman, and Norris Williams, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and one sister, Ramona Fletcher, of Seligman.
