Donna Lee Redshaw, 78, of Purdy, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She was born June 8, 1931, in Aurelia, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Blanche (Cartwright) Sauter.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Redshaw on Feb. 14, 1949. He preceded her in death June 26, 1997. She and her family moved to Purdy in 1962 from Fonda, Iowa. She was a homemaker and a member of Waldensian Presbyterian Church south of Monett and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Monett.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard and his wife, Marge, Redshaw, and Dave and his wife, Debbie Redshaw, all of Purdy; one daughter, Dianna and her husband, Mark Brandhorst, of Springfield; one brother, John Sauter, of Cannon Falls, Minn.; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jean, Dean, Vane and Richard; and two sisters, Helen and Myrtle.

Services were held Saturday at the funeral home with Vicki Evans officiating. Burial was at Purdy Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the VFW and Waldensian Church.

Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
