ROBERT MERRIT NICKLE

Robert Merrit Nickle, 81, died on Nov. 3, 2009, at Lee's Summit. He was born July 1, 1928, at Butterfield, the son of Ira and Grace Nickle.

He served in the Army Air Force from 1946 to 1949. He belonged to Local Union 533 Pipefitters Union. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #47 of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Joann.

Survivors include: his children, Robert Lewis, Susan Breeding, David E, William E, Charles E., and Douglas C.; their mother, Ruth E. Nickle; and two brothers, Ira and Pat.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the F.O.E. Diabetes Research Center at Iowa University or F.O.E. #47 of Kansas City.
