Nadine Galyen Vanzandt, 85, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born Dec. 11, 1923, at Garfield, Ark., to Hayden Easley and Vesta Byler Easley.

She worked at the Seligman School Cafeteria, Fasco in Cassville, Emmerson Electric in Rogers, Ark., Walmart in Bentonville, Ark., and was a housekeeper for Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper, of Bella Vista, Ark., for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Emmett Galyen; second husband, Elgie Vanzandt; one son, Roger Emmett Galyen; and two sisters, Bernita Gibson and Lelia Fray.

Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara McNelly and husband, Johnny, of Stella; one brother, Kently Easley, of New Bern, N.C.; three sisters, Audra Pratt, of Rogers, Ark., Bobbie Jean Dart, of Gateway, Ark., and Glee Wood, of Harrisonville; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge. Ark., with Pastor Aaron Matthews and Pastor Vernon Ray West officiating.

Burial was at Pratt Cemetery east of Avoca, Ark.
