Cassville's new 8,000-square-foot Sears store will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9. The new store, which is owned by Brian and Shirley Ann Wright, of Berryville, Ark., is located near the intersection of Highways 37 and 76/86.

The new Sears store will be managed by Paul and Beverly Strahl, of Cassville.

"We have known Paul and Beverly for several years," said Wright. "When we decided we were interested in becoming a part of the Cassville community, we asked them if they would be interested in managing the store. We really like Cassville and are excited to be opening the new store."

The local Sears store will offer delivery and set-up services for all major brands of appliances with Sears authorized service. The store will also offer Craftsman tools and lawn and garden equipment, including riding lawnmowers, push mowers and trimmers.

"We will also have TVs, mattresses, some fitness equipment, vacuum cleaners and vacuum bags, water filters and water softeners," said Wright.

In addition to shopping the new Sears store's 5,400-square-foot showroom, customers will have the opportunity to order a variety of other products through the store.

"Sears.com shows customers all of the sale and current prices," said Wright. "When customers purchase those products through the store, they will get them with no shipping costs."

Construction crews are working to put the finishing touches on the new store so that stocking can begin over the next few weeks. In preparation for the opening date, Beverly Strahl will also take part in several weeks of training at Sears stores in Harrison, Ark., and Chicago, Ill.

In addition to the Strahls, the new store will be manned by individuals who have been employed at the Wright's Sears store in Berryville, Ark. The Wrights have owned the business for two and a half years.

The new Sears store will offer Black Friday and holiday shopping discounts. The Wrights also plan to host a grand opening celebration at the new store in early 2010. That event will feature a variety of special sales.

Cassville's Sears store will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
