Dean J. Hubbard, 79, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday Oct. 14, 2009, in his home.

He was born April 17, 1930, in Butler County, Ohio, the son of E. Dean and Bessie (White) Hubbard. On May 26, 1979, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was united in marriage to Anna Marie Wehr, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Weber and her husband, William, of Chino Hills, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Dr. Marci Manna and her husband, Arno Wehr, III, of Branson; one son, Steven Hubbard and his wife, Terri, of Plainfield, Ill.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He received his education in Oxford, Ohio, where he graduated from high school. He served our country in the United States Air Force. He was fire chief for the Hamilton Ohio Fire Department, from which he retired. Fourteen years ago he moved to Shell Knob from Friendship, Wis.. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Shell Knob. Memorial services were held Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church, Shell Knob.
