Iwanna Jewel Luper, 71, of Eagle Rock, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

She was born Oct. 5, 1938, in Colcord, Okla., the daughter of Ed and Ila (Branson) January. On April 25, 1958, in Tahlequah, Okla., she was united in marriage to Arthur "Tobey" Luper, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Terry Luper, of Eagle Rock, James Luper, of Grove, Okla., and Chris Luper and his wife, Julie, of Grove, Okla.; two sisters, Marilyn Palone and Carolyn January, both of Colcord, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She received her education in Oklahoma, graduating from Jay High School. She was a member of Golden Church of God and a member of the Red Hat Club.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in Golden Church of God, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastors Deryl Harp, James Ogan, Marvin Smith and David Donaldson conducted the services. Burial was at Williams Cemetery, Berryville, Ark.
