LILLIAN JUANITA MCDANIEL

Lillian Juanita (Ragsdale) McDaniel passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Springfield Rehabilitation Center, Springfield. She was born in Lawrence County on April 27, 1925, to James Edgar Ragsdale and Gladys Alillian (Ashby) Ragsdale.

Her father and mother preceded her in death, along with her brother Harold Edgar Ragsdale, a son-in-law, Jon Larsen, and great-grandson, Logan Baxter Clinkenbeard. She had a special fondness for her step-father Frank Miller, who also preceded her in death.

On Sept. 3, 1942, Francis Wayne McDaniel and Lillian Juanita Ragsdale were married in Springfield. They moved from Seligman to Exeter in 1955, where they were active in the First Christian Church of Cassville. They moved to Brighton in 1999 to be near their children and attended Parkview Christian Church.

Surviving, along with her husband are: two children, George Edgar (Eddie) McDaniel and wife, Judy, and Lola Faye Larsen. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Michael Shannon McDaniel, Osage Beach; Jodie Lynn Clinkenbeard (Mark), Springfield; James Edgar Foster (Veronica), Yuba County, Calif.; and Perry Wayne Foster (Kristy), Springfield; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob Ewan and Joshua Owen Foster; Taylor Ryan and Hunter Nicol Foster; Shea McDaniel and Parker Matteo Clinkenbeard. An aunt, Faye Cummings, of Marionville, also survives.

Juanita was an artist, and an accomplished musician. Active in several music groups in the area, she made numerous lasting friendships. She was a photo retoucher and worked for photographers in the Cassville, Monett area. She leaves behind many special friends and family and her sweet smile will be greatly missed by all. Paid
