WANDA LEE WADE

Wanda Lee Wade, 74, of Republic, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in her home. She was born March 3, 1935, in Barry County, the daughter of Delmar and Gertie (Ennes) Myers.

She was united in marriage to Rev. Roy Lee Wade on Nov. 6, 1954. As a minister's wife, she continued in the ministry to the end of her life. She was a true servant of Christ. She was a homemaker, talented seamstress, cook and gardener. She had retired from Walmart in Republic.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Survivors include: two children and their spouses, Mike and Kim Wade, and Debbie and Terry Chastain; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, and their spouses, Wilburn and Shirley Myers, Pauline and Bill Edwards, Beatrice "Alice" Williams, Myrtle McCord, and Leroy and Molly Myers.

Funeral services were held Oct. 7 at Meador's Funeral Home, Republic, with Rev. Ronnie Fieker and Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial was at Wade Chapel Cemetery, Republic.
