Leroy Harris, 73, of Purdy, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville.
He was born May 25, 1936, in Purdy, the son of Jessie "Dick" Howard and Dimple Hughey Harris. He was a tool and dye maker at Roderick Arms and Tool in Monett, and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Purdy.
He married Eileene Goetz on July 9, 1954, in Purdy, and she survives.
Additional survivors include: three daughters, Debbie Fly and husband, Mike, of Purdy, Joyce Roden and husband, Steve, of Purdy, and Pam Dixon and husband, Darryl, of Purdy; two brothers, Fred Harris, of Purdy, and Gary Harris and wife, Beth, of Purdy; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett with Rev. Russ Neill officiating. Interment was at Purdy Cemetery, Purdy.
Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
