Opal "Nadine" Edie, 86, of Purdy, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, in Springfield.
She was the second daughter of seven children, born to James R. and Grace (Wilson) Channel in Mano, who preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Lowell J. Edie, June 21, 1941. They lived their 59 years together on a farm in Barry County. She was employed by Johnston's in Cassville for 20 years. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two children, Patsy Terry and her husband, Herb, of Springfield, and Wendell Edie and his wife, Janet, of Nixa; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lonal and Kenneth Channel, of Granby; and one sister, Helen Painter, of Lee's Summit.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell in 2001; two sisters, Marie Edie and Dollie Neal; and one brother, Billy R. Channel.
Graveside services were held Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
