BEVERLY A. MATTHEWS

Beverly A. Matthews, 71, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, from multi-organ failure. She was born in Exeter. she was a 1956 graduate of Washburn High School. She was a member of the Teamsters union and was retired from Rainbo Baking Company.

She is preceded in death by her father, John L. Painter; mother, Esther Geneva German Painter; brother, Bruce L. Painter; son, Russell L. Matthews; and daughter, Paula K. Matthews.

Survivors include: her siblings, Doris Reed, Virgie Dunlap, Dorance Painter and Sue Painter; father of her children, Riley G. Matthews; two sons, Riley G. Matthews, Jr., Ricky L. Matthews and her daughter, Saundra S. Matthews; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
