Where the sidewalk begins Democrat Photo On Monday, Webster County Excavating, LLC, of Seymour, began work on a sidewalk project that will benefit Cassville R-IV School District students. The new sidewalk will provide safer travel for students walking between Cassville Middle School and Cassville High School. The school district has cautioned area residents to expect delays from the intersection of Business 37 and Highway Y to the high school during the sidewalk construction. Webster County Excavating has indicated that the project should be complete by Nov. 1. The sidewalk project is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Cassville School District, the Barry County Commission and the City of Cassville. Funding for the project is being provided through a $109,976 Safe Routes to School grant that the city secured last spring.
