Grace Vivian Hull, 100, of Noel, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, following a long illness.

She was born Oct. 18, 1908, in Douglas, Neb., one of seven children of Lyman Milo and Nettie (Goodman) Patton. On Oct. 31, 1928, in Douglas, Neb., she was united in marriage to Marion Cecil Hull who preceded her in death on April 2, 1986, after almost 58 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one great-great-grandson.

Survivors include: three sons, Lyman Hull and his wife, Kathleen, of St. Joseph, Minn., Richard Hull and his wife, Geraldine "Gerri", of Eucha, Okla., and Millard Hull and his wife, Velma, of Noel; eight grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Nebraska. She helped her husband with various businesses and on their farms. In 1981, they moved to Purdy, where they farmed until his death in 1986. She then moved to Wheaton, where she retired. In 2001, she moved to Noel to live with her son, Millard and his wife, Velma, remaining there until her death.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Brother Steve Higgs conducted the services. Burial was at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy.
