Berna Jean Hall, 82, of Cassville, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Springdale Health and Rehab in Springdale, Ark.

She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Sublette, Kan., to Ernest and Mae (Hendrix) Slinkard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.

She was united in marriage to Tommy Hall on July 4, 1946, and together they operated a dairy farm in the Oak Ridge community for 38 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Cassville United Methodist Church, where she helped in the nursery for many years.

Survivors include: her husband, Tommy; three children, Peggy Hart, of Rogers, Ark., Linda Brock and her husband, Harold, of Rogers, Ark., and Verdale Hall, of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Tommy Slinkard, of California.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) in the Cassville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lee Porch conducting the service.

Services were under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Burial was at Ennis Cemetery, Cassville.

Memorials in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Cassville United Methodist Church.
