Charles Doyle Epperly, age 61, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born November 12, 1947, in Cassville, Missouri, the son of Quentin and Norma Lee (Cope) Epperly. On September 5, 1970, he was united in marriage to Chloe Tomblin, who survives.

He is also survived by his father, Quentin Epperly, of Cassville; one son, Cody Epperly and his wife, Angel, of Cassville; two daughters, Amy Stephenson and her husband, Kent, and Charli Jo Epperly, all of Cassville; one brother, Dennis Epperly and his wife, Brenda, of Cassville; one sister, Patricia Fordyce, of Billings, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Barbara Kernodle and her husband, David, of Harrison, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Stussy, Mattie and Grady Stephenson and Lola Epperly; and one niece and three nephews, Carl Gene Epperly, Kelley Epperly, Bradley Epperly and Angie Ryterski and their families. The family request prayers for Bradley's safety during his duty in Afghanistan.

He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Donald Epperly, and a brother-in-law, Ted Fordyce.

Charles grew up and received eight years of his education at Mt. Sinai Grade School and then attended Cassville High School, graduating with the Class of 1965, who have always been a great support to each other. He attended barber school in Kansas City. His entire life was spent in Cassville, where he was a dairy farmer, a self-employed over the road trucker, along with being a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ where funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. His cousins, David Timmons and Rick Epperly conducted the services. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the church.
