Wendell Ray "Red" Curran, 64, of Roosevelt, Ariz., formerly of Cassville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at his home.
He was born May 27, 1945, in San Bernardino, Calif., the son of Elijah and Gladys (Lawson) Curran, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bruce Olson.
Survivors include: two sons, Kevin Ray Curran and Bryan Allen Curran, both of Florence, Ariz.; two daughters, Kimberly Williams and her husband, Michael, of New Florence, and Charlotte Olson, of Cassville; one stepson, Nathan Dunakey and his wife, Melinda, of Montgomery City; two brothers, Joe Curran and his wife, Gay'le, of Exeter, and Bill Curran and his wife, Connie, of Cassville; three sisters, Loretta Clark, Rosetta Scott and Marsha Simon, all of Cassville; and eight grandchildren.
He grew up and received his education in California where he graduated from Colton High School. He and his family moved from California to Cassville to make their home and be close to family. He later moved to Montgomery City, where he worked as a production supervisor for GDS Automotive in New Haven. He was of the Baptist faith. He had relocated to Roosevelt, Ariz., six months ago.
Graveside services were held Monday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rick Hendrix conducted the services.
