Democrat Photo The Cassville R-IV School District has begun constructing a second pavillion at Rocky Edmondson Park in Cassville. The new structure is part of a two-year renovation project the district launched last year. According to Cassville Superintendent Jim Orrell, 45 percent of the project costs are being paid for through a federal Land and Water Conservation Grant. The district has already replaced the roof on the existing pavillion, built restroom facilities and taken out dead trees at the park. In the coming months, crews will replant trees, provide additional picnic tables in the park, build two new bridges along the Greenway Trail and put in gravel walkways to serve the bathrooms and both pavillions and make them ADA accessible. Orrell said the district hopes to have the project completed by September or October.
