Yva Lee Addison, 90, of Jenkins, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Red Rose, Cassville.

She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in DeRidder, La., the daughter of Alex L. and Catherine (Goodman) Hohensee. On May 24, 1936, she was united in marriage to Converse "Connie" Jason Addison who preceded her in death on March 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, A.J. Addison; and three brothers, Warner, Bobby and Wayne Hohensee.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald D. Addison and his wife, Mary E., of Afton, Okla.; one daughter, Catherine Sanders and her husband, Carl, of Jenkins; one brother, Windol Hohensee and his wife, Ethel, of Westlake, La.; one sister, Bernice Leissner, of Highlands, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in DeRidder, La. In 1937, she and Connie moved to Lake Charles, La. They later moved to Jenkins, to make their home. She was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Highland Memory Gardens, Lake Charles, La., under direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles. Rev. Luke Leichty will conduct the services.

Contributions may be made to Parkinson Foundation in her memory.
