EARL REHWINKLE

Earl Edward Rehwinkle, 90, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009, at St. John's Regional Hospital Springfield. He was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Purdy, the son of the late John and Emma (Miller) Rehwinkle. He was united in marriage to Velma Casper Oct. 25, 1942, in Purdy, and she survives.

He was a retired farmer. He was member of the St. John's Lutheran Church Stones Prairie and also a member of the Men's Club.

Additional survivors include: one son, John Rehwinkle and wife, Louise, of Columbia; one daughter, Bonnie Burton and husband, Gail, of Vienna, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church at Stones Prairie with Pastor Philip Wolf officiating. Burial was at St. John's Stones Prairie Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the care of Bennett- Wormington Funeral Home Monett.
