Curtis "Brandon" Carter, 26, of Wentworth, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Monett.
He was born Jan. 26, 1983, in Monett, the son of Curtis and Jill (Phelps) Carter.
Survivors include: his mother, Jill Hudson and her husband, Doug, of Rocky Comfort; his father, Curtis Carter and his wife, Jackie, of Wentworth; grandparents, Glen and BJo Phelps, of Wheaton, Shirley Carter, of Diamond, and Clero Carter and Marian Robbins, of Joplin; one sister, JoGina Park and her husband, Chris, of Wheaton; two stepbrothers, Scott Pope, of New River, N.C., and Chris Pope, of Tyler, Texas; and one stepsister, Jeni Sikes, of Tyler, Texas.
He grew up in the Wheaton area and received his education in the Wheaton School system. Brandon worked as a carnival game operator with his father. He had attended the Church of Christ, Rocky Comfort.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jared Carter.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Union Cemetery, Stella, under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p. m., today (Wednesday) in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
