Oneda Cordelia (Mills) Ray, 87, of Shell Knob, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009, in Red Rose Health and Rehab, Cassville.

She was born June 18, 1921, in Shell Knob, the daughter of Noah Albert and Mary Viola (Cooper) Mills. On Nov. 19, 1941, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Alvin Ell Ray, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, seven sisters and two great grandchildren.

Survivors include: two sons, Albert "Jody" Ray and his wife, Charlotte, of Jenkins, and Johnny Alvin Ray and his wife, Renee, of Republic; five daughters, ellen Faye Hensley and her husband, Richard, of Fordland, Janice "Kaye" Dunmire and her husband, Pat, of Monett, Lovonna "Ruth" Sherrell and her husband, Donnie, of Indianapolis, Ind., Mary "rosalee" Simpson and her husband, Harold, of Galena, and Barbara Ann Stockton and her husband, Lonnie, of Cassville; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She received her education at Shell Knob. She was a life-long resident of Shell Knob and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bridgeway Assembly of God Church in Shell Knob.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Bridgeway Assembly of God Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Doyle Russell and Pastor Lonnie Stockton conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins.
