Mary Jane Thompson, 71, passed away at Red Rose Health and Rehab in Cassville on Saturday, May 30, 2009.
She was born Dec. 2, 1937, at Jenkins to Silas I. and Pearl E. (Hare) Moore. She worked at Emerson Electric for a few years as well as a cook in several restaurants. She was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church.
She married Bob N. Thompson on Oct. 17, 1975, in Miami, Okla., and he survives.
Additional survivors include: six sons, Mark Brooks and his fiancee, Maxine, allen Brooks and his wife, Dortha, David Brooks and his wife, Judy, Jeff Thompson and his wife, Donna, all of Washburn, Tom Thompson and his wife, Connie, of Pea Ridge, Ark., and J.R. Thompson and his fiancee, romona, of Cassville; four daughters, Rebecca Kirkland and her husband, Darrell, of Branson, Leah Mitchell and her husband, Tony, of Cassville, Diane Anderson and her husband, Johnny, of Seligman, and Donna Deans and her husband, John, of Seligman; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and one brother, Joseph I. Moore, of Lamar, Colo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jacob L. Moore and one sister, Grace Ann Wierman.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Washburn First Baptist Church under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Glenn Erwin conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville.
