Betty Harader, 84, of Wheaton, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009, in Barry County Care Center, Cassville.
She was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Barry County, the daughter of E.C. and Ida (Emory) Tichenor. On March 7, 1941, she was united in marriage to James Harader, who survives.
Additional survivors include: four children, Carole Crossland and her husband, Bill, of Branson, David Harader and his wife, Renea, of Japser, Sarah Fraysure and her husband, Tony, of Checotah, Okla., and Joyce Anderson, of Lee's Summit; one sister Eileen Corn, of Joplin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
She graduated from high school in Wheaton. She owned and operated the North Side Cafe a few years. She was a lifelong resident of Wheaton and a member of the Methodist Church in Wheaton.
Her body was cremated under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
