Duane Eugene Corn, 55, of Seligman, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, in his home.

He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Seligman, the son of L.B. and Elsie (Lundy) Corn. On Oct. 3, 1975, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Dewitt, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Nathan Corn and Philip Corn and his wife, Christi, of Seligman; one daughter, Stephanie Salas, of Sun Prairie, Wis.; his father, L.B. Corn, of Seligman; three brothers, Terry, Bobby and Timmy Corn, of Seligman; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.

He graduated from Southwest High School in Washburn and received his bachelor of arts degree from Southwest Baptist University in 1979. He was a real estate broker and developer for 20 years and served as mayor of Seligman for the past six years. He was a Southern Baptist minister and served in the southwest area of Missouri.

Funeral services were held Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Bob Scott and Rev. Ron Shults conducted the services. Burial was in Seligman Cemetery at Seligman.
