Melba June Linebarger, 78, of Henderson, Texas, died Sunday, May 17, 2009. Born August 14, 1930, in Carroll County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Stansell) Smith. She was a bookkeeper at Foremost Dairies in Springdale, Ark., a life-long member of DAV Auxiliary, a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Lowell, Ark., and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Henderson, Texas.
Survivors include: her husband, Richard Linebarger, of Henderson, Texas; one son, Les Linebarger and his wife, Shannon, of Henderson, Texas; two grandchildren, Zeb and Cates Linebarger, of Henderson, Texas; and a brother, Bill Smith, of Berryville, Ark.
Visitation was held 12:30 to 2 p.m, Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Lowell, Ark. Funeral services followed visitation 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Pallbearers were Jack Hale, Lynn Still, Leroy Daniels, Jack Vanhook, John Buchanan and Carroll Guess. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Ussery and Bob Hannah. Interment will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
