Myrtle B. Jones, 81, of Wheaton, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009, in her home.

She was born April 4, 1928, in Washburn, the daughter of Ray and Bessie (Cooper) Hendrix. On Nov. 13, 1944, in Miami, Okla., she was united in marriage to Clyde W. Jones, who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James. D. Jones and Ricky Dale Jones; and one brother, Carl Ray Hendrix.

Survivors include: three sons, Gene Jones, of Wheaton, Ronald Jones, of Washburn, and Allen Jones, of Stark City; three sisters, Pansy Fletcher, of Neosho, Treva Harrison, of Neosho, and Lucielle Weston, of Stella; 15 grandchildren; and several great- grandchildren.

She received her education at Roller School at Washburn. She owned and operated the M & M Café in Wheaton several years. She was a member of Washburn Assembly of God Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Eugene Rose will conduct the services. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Stella.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
