Mabel Louise Still, 88, of Shell Knob, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, in St. John's Hospital, Berryville, Ark.

She was born Aug. 23, 1920, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Ted and Maude (Harlan) Rice. On Sept. 9, 1990, in Heritage, she was united in marriage to Joe Toby Still, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, James Bromley and his wife, Janet, of Schaumburg, Ill.; three daughters, Sandra Davidson and her husband, Jon, of Blue Springs, Debra Bromley, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Susan Bridgers and her husband, Charles, of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; two step-daughters, Lynn Reiss, of Green Forest, Ark., and Karlene Triboulet, of Hollister; one brother, Floyd Rice and his wife, Betty, of California, Mo.; one sister, Betty Bowling, of Buffalo; 14 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jack Bromley; three sisters; and one brother.

She attended elementary school in Jefferson City. Her family moved to Kansas City, where she graduated from Swope Park High School. In 1995, she and Joe moved from Cape Fair to Shell Knob to make their home. She was a member of Shell Knob First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Burial was at Cape Fair Cemetery.
