NADINE MCMILLEN

Nadine McMillen, 90, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She was born March 6, 1915, in Eagle Rock, the daughter of the late Jeff and Minnie (Haddock) Thompson. She was united in marriage to Verlon Pryor. He passed away May 23, 1959. She then was united in marriage to Oren McMillen. He also preceded her in death May 13, 1966.

She was an LPN at Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. She was a member of the North Nixa Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one son, James "Jim" Pryor, of Nixa; one daughter, Darlene Shelley, of Nixa; special friend and son, Alvin J. Pryor, of Cassville; one stepson, Oren Ford McMillen, of Granby; one brother, Gerald Thompson, of Eagle Rock; one sister, Ruth Sherman, of Anderson; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, with Rev. Ronnie Fieker, Rev. Jerry Francisco and Rev. Gerald Pugh officiating. Burial was at Sparks Cemetery, Butterfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements were under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
