Randy J. Delano Sr., 52, of the Star City community, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1957, in Borger, Texas, son of Elmer and Barbara (Holman) Delano. He was a self-employed refrigeration repairman and known to many as "Mr. Fix-it."

He married Connie Bush on Feb. 26, 1988, in Verona, and she survives. He moved to the Star City community four years ago from Bentonville, Ark., to be closer to his family. He attended the Gunter Methodist Church, near Butterfield.

Survivors include: his mother, Barbara Gates, of the Star City community; his wife, Connie Delano, of Cassville; two sons, Randy Delano II, and his wife, Karen, of the Star City community, and Brandon Bush, of Springfield; three daughters, Crystal Bailey, and her husband, Carlonzo, of Rogers, Ark., Cortney Delano, of Cassville, and Kim Handy, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Carl E. Delano, of Verona, and Larry Delano, of the Star City community; one sister, Lynda Dacy, of Monett; a half brother, John Delano, of Amarillo, Texas; two half sisters, Sarah and Stephanie Delano, of Amarillo, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Delano, one brother, David R. Delano, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville with Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial will follow at the Sparks Cemetery near Butterfield. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
