Loren C. Haworth, 96, of Purdy, passed away Feb. 26, 2009, at Cox Monett Hospital.
He was born June 30, 1912, in Purdy, the son of Leander and Edith (Hewlett) Haworth. He was a retired milk hauler for Mid-America Dairymen and a member of the Gunter Methodist Church, near Butterfield.
He married Frances June Holloway on March 21, 1935, in Cassville, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 1996.
Survivors include: two sons, Verlin Haworth and Stevie Haworth, both of Purdy; two daughters, Wilma Quade, of Shell Knob, and Joanie Singer, of Aurora; one brother, Wayne Haworth, of Sears Borough, Iowa; three sisters, Vernice Brown, of Stark City, Lois Carter, of Ash Grove, and Margaret Carter, of Everton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorene Aldridge; two brothers, Floy and Lowell Haworth; and one sister, Doris Patton.
Services were held Tuesday at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial was at Gunter Cemetery, Butterfield.
