Roy Dean Harmon, 93, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at his home, following a short illness. He was born July 4, 1915, in Glassco.
He worked as a carpenter for many years and lived in Overland Park, Kan., before moving to Arkansas. He was a member of the Church of God and served as a minister over 70 years. He married Virginia May Lowe on Aug. 22, 1935, at Springfield, and she preceded him in death in September 2005.
Survivors include: four children, Alta Mae Harmon, of Cassville, Dorothy Jean Montoya, of San Dimas, Calif., and Robert Dean Harmon and Carol Ann Blair, both of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Allen Eugene Harmon, of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho. Interment followed in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
