Mary Ann Galbraith, 80, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 2, at Newcomer White Chapel in Gladstone, Mo.
Mary Ann was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Detroit, Mich. She graduated from Glennon High School in Kansas City, Mo., in 1946. Mary Ann married Francis Galbraith on June 11, 1952. They moved to Cassville, Mo., in 1982, to Nixa, Mo., in 1995, and to Fort Worth, Texas, in 2006.
Mary Ann and Francis had a multitude of friends and touched lives everywhere they went. She loved the outdoors, life on the farm, time spent with family, friends and everything about nature.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Margaret Van Becelaere; husband, Francis Galbraith; one son, Kevin Michael Galbraith; and one brother, Joe Van Becelaere.
Survivors include: one son, Randy Galbraith and wife, Nancy, of Reeds Spring, Mo.; one daughter, Sandra Ann Tarpley and her husband, Jim, of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Robert Van Becelaere and wife, Mary; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76103, in lieu of flowers.
