Results from a recent survey of local Cassville businesses will be presented to all interested residents at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 at the Crowder College auditorium.
The "Cassville Comments" survey was conducted by the Workforce Investment Board of Southwest Missouri (WIB). Conclusions will be presented by Gary Box, WIB business retention coordinator.
The survey was initiated by the City of Cassville's Economic Development Office and the Cassville Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). The purpose of the survey is to identify the current business climate and issues and highlight concerns related to providing a quality workforce.
"The city is committed to Cassville's growth as a commerce center as well as ensuring it is a quality place to live and work," said Cassville Mayor Tracy Holle.
It is a shared goal of the city and the IDC to keep the area's economy healthy and stable by providing employment opportunities for residents, a reasonable return on investment for local businesses and a productive workforce to support local businesses.
"This survey is part of the city and IDC's ongoing efforts to develop an excellent business environment for existing and future business," said Holle. "We believe the survey results will guide us to provide the proper support to current local businesses, assist with retention of their workforces and create an environment that will encourage new businesses and companies to locate in the city."
Any Cassville resident interested in the city's future growth and prosperity should attnd this meeting. The Crowder College auditorium is located on Business 37 across from Barry Electric. Refreshments will be provided by the IDC.
