Burl I. Blythe, 76, retired insulation and roofing specialist died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Tulsa, Okla., where he had lived a number of years. He was born May 14, 1932, near Cassville, the youngest son of Claud and Nellie Prentice Blythe. He graduated from Cassville High School in 1950 and attended Monett Junior College and Central Christian College in Bartlesville, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bela Blythe.

Survivors include: two sons, Rick Blythe and Barry Blythe and his wife, Cindy, of Weatherford, Okla.; a brother, Buford Blythe and his wife, Shirley, of Wichita, Kan.; and a sister, Belva Easley, of East Lansing, Mich.
