Minnie Belle Parksion, 93, of Rocky Comfort, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, in her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Louis Berley and Addie May (Spears) Spiva. On Jan. 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to James Parksion, who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Letha Parksion; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include: one daughter, Coleen Harrell and her husband, Willis, of Rocky Comfort; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

She moved at the age of six from Fort Worth to Exeter, where she received her education. She was a resident of the Exeter area most of her life and worked in several canning factories in the area. She was a member of the Ridgley Baptist Church over 40 years.

Graveside services were held Monday at Concord Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
