Thursday, February 12, 2009

A Blue Eye man was arrested last Thursday and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Barry County Sheriff's Deputy Danny Crabb arrested Aaron Williams, 28, after the deputy found a half pound of marijuana in Williams' vehicle during a routine traffic stop.

According to a report issued by the Sheriff's Office, Crabb was patrolling in the Golden area and noticed a vehicle with a broken tail light. After pulling the car over, he noticed six people in the vehicle and upon a search with consent, he discovered the stash of marijuana.

Williams was arraigned in Barry County Circuit Court on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Williams is now being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
